Travel from Hamburg airport to Lauenburg

Lauenburg (53.37 N, 10.55 E) is situated at the borders of the River Elbe, 50 km upstream of the city of Hamburg.

The nearest airport is Hamburg. The easiest way to reach the city centre is to take the S-Bahn (underground) that arrives directly - every 10 to 15 minutes - to the main railway station. The fare is 3 Euro.

From the main bus station (ZOB) immediately beside the railway station the bus no. 31 (not E31!) is going every hour to Lauenburg. The fare is 6.70 Euro – if combined with the ticket airport-city, the fare is still 6.70 €.

From the Lauenburg bus station you can walk to the Zündholzfabrik (description here) or call me (++49 171 475 8146) and I'll pick you up there.

In Lauenburg, we will have the School and accommodation in the "Zündholzfabrik", a comfortable youth hostel in the ancient part of the town directly at the borders of the Elbe River. The address is: Elbstraße 2, 21481 Lauenburg.
The temperature in North Germany is usually 12-15 °C at this time of the year.
